Yes, properly. Chambers are lifted, invert levels measured, and buried runs traced with a sonde and drawn with flow direction. Most topographical surveys mark a manhole symbol and move on; ours record the network, because we are drainage engineers as well as surveyors.
Yes - levels, drainage tracing, trial pits and BRE365 percolation testing can be done as one visit and issued as one coordinated pack, which is usually cheaper than instructing separate contractors on separate dates.
A typical residential site is a day on site, with the drawing issued within the week. Larger or more complex sites are scoped and quoted individually before anything is booked.
