ReachDrone culvert & drainage surveys.
Taking enquiries ahead of launch.
Culverts. Large drains. Enclosed structures.
For a difficult-access culvert, the first question is often how to inspect it. A drone provides another way to see the crown, walls and other visible surfaces where there is enough clear space to fly.
The aim is useful evidence: what was inspected, where the observations were made, and what needs further attention. We agree that scope with you before planning the survey.
For smaller drains, explore our CCTV surveysAn inspection you can work from.
Review the footage. Locate what matters. Give your team a clear record of the condition.
Keep the inspection.
Review the crown, walls and visible features in the recording. Share the relevant images with the people making the decision.
Put the image in its place.
Relate observations to the structure. We agree the spatial information your asset or design team needs before the survey.
Decisions are only as good as the data behind them
Reach is being developed for the places that make inspection difficult. The goal is straightforward: bring useful evidence back to the people responsible for the asset.

Explore visible surfaces in suitable culverts and larger drains, with less reliance on personnel entry.
Return to the recorded inspection, share key images and give your team a closer view of what needs attention.
Use the findings and agreed spatial information to inform maintenance, investigations and the next design decision.
Taking enquiries ahead of launch. Tell us what you need to establish and we will review the proposed survey with you.
Plan the access.
Then the flight.
Length, bends, water and the available entry points shape the inspection. We assess the route and communications before agreeing coverage.
Start with the asset
Share dimensions, access locations, plans if available and what you need to establish. We review clearances, conditions and the proposed inspection.
Prove the connection
Radio links can change through bends and obstructions. Extended communications for confined pipework are being evaluated, with coverage subject to site assessment and trials.
Agree the handover
Confirm footage, located observations, report requirements and any point-cloud or dimensional survey specification before the job is priced.
A few things
to establish first.
Every asset is different. A short conversation and the site details let us check whether the proposed service fits your project.
Can I book a drone survey now?
We are taking enquiries ahead of launch. Send us the location, approximate dimensions, access details and what you need to establish. We will review suitability and confirm availability, scope, outputs and price before a survey is booked.
Which culverts and drains are suitable?
There must be sufficient clear space to fly and a suitable means of access and recovery. We assess the opening, internal dimensions, bends, obstructions, water and flow, atmosphere, visibility and communications. A nominal pipe diameter alone is not enough to confirm suitability.
Can the drone inspect underwater?
This is an airborne inspection service for visible surfaces above the waterline. Submerged or obscured surfaces cannot be assessed from aerial footage. We will explain any coverage limits and discuss another inspection method where needed.
What do you need to know about the site?
Tell us where the asset is, how it can be accessed and what you need the inspection to establish. Any plans, approximate dimensions and information about water, flow or operating restrictions will help us review the proposed survey.
Will I receive a 3D model or CAD drawing?
We agree the required outputs before quoting. Spatial data can help relate observations to the structure. A controlled dimensional survey, CAD drawing or engineering model requires an agreed specification, suitable equipment and validation; it is not automatically included with a visual inspection.
How far can the drone travel through a culvert?
The achievable coverage depends on the asset, access points, bends, communications, flight planning and recovery arrangements. Extended communications for confined pipework are being evaluated. We will not promise a distance before the site and connection have been assessed.
How is the price agreed?
We quote for the agreed asset, access arrangements, inspection coverage and deliverables after reviewing the site. Tell us about traffic management, permits, operating restrictions and any required survey specification so these can be considered from the start.
Have a location
in mind?
Tell us what you need to see. We are reviewing enquiries for suitable sites ahead of launch.
Include the approximate size and length, access points, water conditions and the information you need from the inspection.
