Drain Liner Repair

What is Drain Liner Repairing?

Drain liner repair is a method of repairing damaged or broken underground drainage pipes without the need for excavation. It involves inserting a flexible liner coated with a hardening resin into the existing pipe. The liner is then inflated to conform to the shape of the existing pipe and the resin is cured, creating a new, structurally sound pipe within the old one. Drain liner repair is a cost-effective and non-invasive alternative to traditional pipe replacement methods.

The picture on the left shows a cutaway of a pipe. It explains what cured-in-place pipelining is. It shows a pipeline that has problems like root intrusion, corrosion, or even breaking. Instead of costly excavation and rebuilding of infrastructure, the lining procedure can give you an easy and less costly solution, which is No-Excavation pipe repair.

Cured-in-place pipe repair systems can fix failing underground sewers and pipelines for your home or business premises. We can repair pipes that range from 4 inches to 10 inches in diameter.

how it works

01

What patch lining fixes

Patch Lining effectively seals pipes from roots, ingress, egress, and smoothness displaced joints, to improve flow, with precise accuracy. However, insurance companies do not reimburse costs for preventative maintenance and are often satisfied with the quick fix provided by patch liner repair. From a contractor’s perspective, patch lining offers a more accurate method for sealing joints in close proximity to live junctions or on the last joint before connecting to the main sewer, as the stretch and shrinkage associated with traditional pipe lining can impede precision.

02

How the procedure works

Prior to relining, we conduct a pre-inspection to plan the project effectively. This includes obtaining visual and dimensional data such as pipe size, line length, bends, service connections, and defects. We use high-pressure jetting to clean the pipework to be repaired. Then, we install and cure the patch via UV light or a chemical accelerator.

After completion, we remove all equipment from the drains and conduct a final CCTV Survey to visually inspect the repair and ensure that there are no sags, wrinkles, or resin washouts,

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my toilet during the patch liner repair?

Yes, but not the line which we are repairing. Before we repair a pipe, we carry out a quick CCTV Look-See of the sewer in question. This helps identify what toilet or sink connects to what pipe. We will then ask you not to use that service for an hour. You will still be able to use the other utilities, but not the one we are repairing.

Will I get completion evidence after?

Yes, once relining is complete, we will perform a free completion CCTV Survey. This will provide you with video evidence of the repair, before and after photos, which will enable you to perform QA/QC to verify there are no sags, wrinkles or resin washouts. Your system will now be fully flowing and repaired. You can resume normal operation as soon as we leave.
